Amazon remains one of the few companies that have yet to suffer from the coronavirus outbreak, and CEO Jeff Bezos keeps cashing out.

Using his average net worth growth over the last five years (34%), the folks at Comparisun are estimating that he could be a trillionaire by the year 2026.

That would mean Jeff Bezos could become the world’s first trillionaire at the age of 62.

Right now, the world’s richest man is worth $145 billion (he was the first to cross the $100 billion mark).

So many are expected to follow in his footsteps in the following years, too, with Alibaba’s Jack Ma expected to become a trillionaire at 65 in 2030, and Facebook’s Mark Zuckerberg at 51 in 2036.

Check out the full analysis on Comparisun.

Olawunmi Adegoke: Develop a Lifestyle of Consistency Using these Tips

$

Recently, I read an article that gave an expository into the life of Chinese business mogul, billionaire, and founder of Alibaba, Jack Ma. What I learned encouraged me to read more about him, his failures and how he built a successful business. His story shows one of sheer hard work, persistence and consistency.

Building a lifestyle of consistency sure takes a lot. It is about showing up every day, regardless of how you feel. Developing a lifestyle of consistency first has to do with believing that things can be done, and will be done by you. This means that consistency must first be built in your subconscious before it becomes an action you carry out. Building a lifestyle of consistency can be likened to training your mindset over time. This means that you keep up the pace at doing things even when others seem to back out or when things gets tougher.

A lot of times, people start a journey but they are unable to keep up after a while because their subconscious hasn’t registered it yet as a ‘do or do’ affair.

No doubt, we cannot be motivated at all times; we’ll surely get discouraged at some point. But great achievers do not get things done based on how they feel.

How then can you build a life of consistency?

Stick to your plans even when no one is watching you

A good practice will be to start holding yourself accountable for what you say you will do. If you intend to write a page of a new book daily, do so even if no one asks you. When your alarm rings for 5:30 AM, don’t snooze it. Dealing with procrastination and doing tasks when you set your mind to do them is a great way to develop a lifestyle of consistency.

Choose to do the hard stuff

Those who often shy away from doing hard stuff usually find it very easy to live lackadaisically. They do things based on how they feel per time. Doing mentally stimulating tasks will help train your brain to think at a higher level. If you keep choosing to do easy stuff, you may not find yourself challenged enough to exert some form of extra energy.

Read and learn from people

One of the best ways to learn is to watch and imitate people who are already operating at a frequency you admire. Reading books about great achievers, following them on social media and seeing how they live will teach you how to develop a consistent lifestyle and be disciplined.

Developing a lifestyle of consistency will pay off in the long run. You can start by choosing to be consistent in just one aspect of your life; with time, it’ll begin to spread to other aspects of your life.

The Alibaba January 1st concert, organized by the renowned comedian Alibaba, will be held for the seventh year in a row on January 1st, 2022, at the Eko Hotels Convention Center in Victoria Island, Lagos.

The event dubbed the “Gratitude Edition,” will be dedicated to doctors and healthcare workers who were on the front lines of the pandemic’s fight, as well as in honour of the many thousands who lost their lives. This is especially significant, as the 2021 edition was cancelled due to the coronavirus pandemic.

Because it is held on New Year’s Day, the January 1st concert is considered the unofficial start of each year, and the upcoming edition will feature performances by a slew of A-list Nigerian artists. The annual spontaneity competition, which awards car gifts to the 6 most spontaneous comedians, will include 12 comedians who qualified through a competitive audition process. More excitingly, comedians who will perform at the event will be wearing medical scrubs.

According to Alibaba, who also survived COVID in 2021, “The COVID pandemic is not just a vague phenomenon; real lives have been impacted since it broke out in 2020.” Lives have been lost and families have been changed forever. We want to pay tribute as well as appreciate the frontline workers that have toiled endlessly to curtail the spread and help nurse other victims back to health. “

He also added that strict COVID-19 protocols would be observed at the event. “At this period, it is of utmost importance that all stipulated protocols are followed to the letter. The human race has a huge chance of eradicating this scourge, but we can only do so if vaccinations are received, social distance is maintained, and masks are worn during indoor occasions. The January 1st Concert is committed to making this happen even as we produce an exciting and memorable show for our guests.

Masks will be required to be worn during the event, and physical attendees will be limited to no more than 50% of the hall’s capacity.

The awards segment of the show, which in previous editions recognized pioneer Nigerians who were the first to achieve a significant milestone in their fields, will this time present Certificates of Appreciation to deserving institutions and individuals who devoted their lives to the management of the pandemic.

Tickets for the show are available at the Eko Hotel, Ebeano supermarkets and Slot stores in Lagos.

Alibaba Speaks on Youth inclusiveness at 9mobile’s International Youth Day Instalive Session

Ace comedian and actor Atunyota Alleluya Akpobome better known as Alibaba made quite a lot of remarkable statements that have got people talking, during a live session with Olorisupergal, sponsored by Nigeria’s youth-friendly telecom provider, 9mobile to mark this year’s International Youth Day, themed, Inter-generational Solidarity: Creating A World for All Ages, on August 12, 2022. The year’s theme focuses on the important role youths play in the building of a veritable, peaceful, and prosperous society.

According to Alibaba, to promote inter-generational solidarity in society and bridge the gap between the older and younger generation, the culture of shared values needs to be entrenched to accommodate both the young and the old at home and in the workplace. This would promote the convergence of understanding on the need for mutual respect among all.

He said,

“Tolerance and understanding is a way to strike a balance between age groups. The older generation must have an open mind to today’s realities in dealing with the differences in values and behavior of today’s youths. In other words, tolerance, respect, and culture are the prerequisites for dealing with the culture shock among the elderly and the younger generation.”

While noting that there is an urgent need to create platforms where youths can be properly and productively engaged to harness their natural potential for the benefit of society, Alibaba added that the youths must be well represented in the affairs of politics, education, and the economy.

Commenting on the significance of the theme, Executive Director, Regulator, and Corporate Affairs, 9mobile, Mallam Abdulrahman Ado, restated 9mobile’s core value as a youthful brand and reiterated the telco’s commitment to continue to inspire Nigerian youths to be their best.”

The International Youth Day is designated by United Nations to highlight issues affecting youths and draw the attention of the international community while also celebrating the potential of young people as partners in today’s global society.
